Freiburg vs Leverkusen
Both teams need the win here but even though Leverkusen were ripped apart by Wolfsburg, I feel that they can still get the win here. Also, the lack of home fans means home advantage has gone. Leverkusen to get back on track.
Wolfsburg vs Frankfurt
Is Wolfsburg back? That will be the question this weekend. They got a great win over Leverkusen in midweek and Frankfurt got a draw at home to Freiburg. The Wolves will feed well on Saturday.
Hertha Berlin vs Augsburg
Hertha have had the best restart other than Bayern Munich – seven points in the last three games and they are playing some great football with them scoring nine goals and only conceding two. Augsburg are no pushover (ask Schalke) but the Berliners are the form side here.
Mainz vs Hoffenheim
Good news for Hoffenheim fans is that your starting eleven have finished their self-isolation and it showed against Koln: with the 3-1 win they were able to leap up two positions on the table up to seventh place. As for Mainz, well that sinking feeling may be setting in.
Schalke vs Bremen
What’s going on at Schalke is anyone’s guess. Three losses on the trot since the restart and no wins in six games before that! Bremen haven’t been much better with only one draw in three games since restart. They’ve also only won five games all season. Both teams would take a point here.
Bayern Munich vs Dusseldorf
The league is Bayern’s to lose now but history and form shows they don’t do that. The win over Dortmund was so sweet for them they’ll be asking Joshua Kimmich if he wants dip with that chip! Third-last Dusseldorf are in for a slaughter here.
Monchengladbach vs Union Berlin
Tricky one to call. Gladbach were unlucky not to get the three points over Bremen, they looked good and just couldn’t get the finish they wanted. The main problem they will face is the statistic of home teams struggling without their fans but they are the better team here.
Paderborn vs Dortmund
The race is not over yet – that’s what Dortmund will be telling themselves after their loss to Bayern on Tuesday. They couldn’t have asked for a juicier low-hanging fruit like Paderborn to get going again.
Koln vs Leipzig
The Goats and The Bulls going head to head. Leipzig want the points to keep Dortmund and Bayern in their sights but also keep ahead of Gladbach. Timo Werner is three goals behind Lewandowski in the top scorer race and he also wants to keep him in his sights.
