PSL: Matchweek 24

Absolutely cracking weekend of PSL action coming up, Chiefs will be up for it after their victory against Pirates who should get the better of a largely up and down Arrows outfit.

Let’s have a look at how the Left Winger sees the weekend unfolding!

Maritzburg United v Polokwane City

Polokwane City, on a run of 7 consecutive away losses, will be like a deer in the floodlights of Harry Gwala Stadium. A couple of second half goals for the home team here.

Prediction: 2 – 0

Baroka v Black Leopards

14th vs 15th here so they’re both right up against it. Baroka has just 1 win in their last 5 PSL games but Leopards has 6 consecutive away losses. Is it possible for both of them to lose?

Prediction: 1 – 0

Golden Arrows v Orlando Pirates

Arrows have been pretty blunt against the Buccaneers with just 1 win in their last 5 encounters with them. Pirates will want to bounce back after their derby loss to Chiefs last week.

Prediction: 0 – 1

Kaizer Chiefs vs AmaZulu

Chiefs had been struggling for momentum but their win over Pirates last week will have given them a massive boost. AmaZulu are just struggling in general, coaches and players have been placed on leave and it just looks a real mess right now.

Prediction: 2 – 0

Bidvest Wits v Chippa United

At one stage it looked like Wits may make a surprise title challenge but the games in hand jam has caught up with them. Both teams are in poor form with just 1 win their last 5 but Wits have a good record against Chippa, with 4W’s and a draw in their last 5.

Prediction: 2 – 1

Cape Town City v Bloemfontein Celtic

Celtic don’t travel well – just one win in their last 5 away games. They also have no clean sheets in their last 12, so we go for Cape Town City here.

Prediction: 2 – 0

Highlands Park vs SuperSport United

There has been fewer than 3 goals scored in total in each of SuperSport Utd’s last 4 games and there has been fewer than 3 goals scored in total in each of Highlands Park’s last 4 home games, so we go for a low score draw here.

Prediction: 1 – 1
