Massive game this weekend when Liverpool welcome City to Anfield, find out what Ryan Liberty thinks ahead of the weekend
P.S. I must apologise for only offering one article this weekend, but once exams have ended we’ll back!
You can follow Ryan here…
Liverpool v Manchester City
Are Liverpool a win away from winning the League? They certainly look it! You look at their performances in recent weeks and they all scream championship mentality, even when their first side isn’t necessarily playing the culture is the same (case in point Caraboa Cup game against Arsenal)
This is certainly the game of the weekend and you can expect absolute fireworks at Anfield come Sunday evening, City can’t afford to lose whilst Liverpool just don’t seem to know how to lose.
City have serious issues in defence, but you just know Pep Guardiola’s side isn’t going to sit back and look to suffocate Liverpool, they’ll take the game to them but I’m not sure such an approach will suit the Manchester side.
Liverpool haven’t been fantastic either in terms of quality which is why I’m leaning on the side of ‘tactics free’ football this weekend – as silly as that might sound.
Last time these sides faced each other City were fantastic insofar as not allowing Liverpool to play their game, but I don’t think City were under the same pressure and Liverpool weren’t riding the wave as it were.
As much as it kills me to say it, I think Liverpool will finally have their year; they are so reminiscent of United of old while United are as Liverpool were. I agree with you Mr. Cantona, I too would rather have my bleeding hand stuck into a bowl of piranha’s than see Liverpool lift the league title.
