UEFA: Champions League (Matchday 4)

The Champions League campaign continues in midweek, and here at EPL EggHeads are back with our fourth round of groups games. Read on and make sure you have a look at our midweek quartet!

Red Star Belgrade v Liverpool

Liverpool is a side to fear in Europe. The Reds have only lost one of their last 11 group stage games in the Champions League, scoring 33 goals in total during this run. Although Red Star was able to hold Napoli, Liverpool will be a completely different encounter. I don’t think the hosts will get as lucky on Tuesday evening, so backing the Liverpool win is a must.  For more value back the visitors with a (-1) handicap @ 11/20.

Spurs v PSV

Spurs will be mightily disappointed with their last performance against PSV, after dominating much of the game they were unable to come with all 3 points. This is a must-win game for the north London side and even that might not be good enough. The Wembley pitch has been passed fit so hopefully the conditions allows for an incredible evening of competitive football.

Spurs seem to have their confidence back, scoring goals and looking up for it. It might not be a popular opinion, but I really think it will be an easy evening for the hosts. Spurs + both teams to score offers good value @ 14/10.

Juventus v Manchester United

Juventus were able to knick a 1-0 win at Old Trafford in what could be described as a below par performance even for the Old Lady. They are unbeaten in all competition and I don’t see that changing come Wednesday evening.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala are a lethal combination; with those two on the field I can’t see United keeping Juve out. Back the hosts @ 11/20.

Manchester city v Shakhtar

Shakhtar Donetsk used to be a tricky side to play, but in recent times it seems they’ve lost their way a little bit whilst City have become an incredibly difficult side to play.

Pep Guardiola can afford to make a couple of changes here and almost play a ‘second’ side (if that even exists at City). With all due respect to Shakhtar I can’t see anything more than a routine win, and a looking ahead to the Manchester Derby on Sunday for City tonight.

Take a chance and back City to be winning within the first 10min @ 11/4!
